“Never give up on something you can’t stop dreaming about!” , a quote often heard from the Miami native and daughter of Cuban immigrants, Carolina Pozo. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, doctors as well as composers (her great-uncle was, Juan Arrondo, who wrote the lyrics to many beautiful boleros), Carolina, or as she is often referred to-Caro, felt her passion was in the arts. The art world is where, Caro, calls home.
As a child she would perform for her family and friends, always singing and acting out in a variety of characters. She has always loved performing, as well as crafting and technical art. The art world is where, Caro, calls home.
She has performed in various plays, musicals, and independent films as well as commercials, t.v. segments, and fashion shows. When not on stage or in front of a camera, you can find Caro working behind the scenes for independent production companies. Not just song and script writing but she also has a fondness for creating, painting, and lighting film and theatrical sets. Along with using her skills in make-up for both stage and film.
Post graduating, she continued her training with Marc Durso, in Act True: Uta Hagen Acting Method, along with Film Acting workshops with, Lori Wyman, and private vocal coaching with, Jeannette Hopkins. After three productions with the Adrienne Arsht Center, and building a relationship with them, Caro, was invited to two private acting workshops. One hosted by The House Theatre of Chicago, where we explored the production and foundation of creating original works, and the other was a Master Acting Class, hosted by Academy Award Winner, Kevin Spacey.
Her most recent performance credits include; The Off-Broadway Productions of “The Donkey Show: A Midsummer Nights Disco” as ‘Dmitri/Vinnie’, written by Diane Paulus, director Allegra Libonati , Marvelous Wonderettes , as Cindy Lou. The first regional tour and two summer stock tours of “ The Amazing Adventures of Dr. Wonderful and her Dog”, as ‘Mom’, written by Lauren Gunderson, music Brian Lowdermilk, director Jeff Revels. This past year, she performed in two English Seasons of Micro Theatre Miami, one being Pesto Pasta, written by Nacho Redondo , and directed by Barbara Garofalo, which lead a great review “ BEST ACTING AND WRITING…” from the Miami Herald. Caro continue’s acquiring new projects, One to hit film festivals in the new year ” The Supermarket” written and directed by Rhonda Mitrani, and of course the latest ” South Beach: Fever” starring as, Isabella Valdez, a new web series by Dolphin Digital Media this July 2015 on HULU…
Because Caro could not “stomach” being a doctor like most of her family members, she feels strongly that through her voice and movement she could be the medicine, for the heart.
